Prosser is located in beautiful Washington Wine Country and is a destination for many in the Northwest. Attractive offices, stores, services and residential developments have contributed to a new level of vibrancy and growth, while retaining a small town feel that appeals to residents and visitors alike.
Many people live, or are within walking or biking distance of downtown. Strategic public and private investments are creating a true multidimensional cultural center with several new and expanded public amenities, truly a community poised to have it all.
Many cultural events take place during the year as pairings of Art, Wine, Food and Music are combined throughout the community. Visitors are encouraged to park in the conveniently located Visitor & Information Center's Depot parking facility, walking throughout the downtown area. While pedestrian and bicycle access is encouraged there is plenty of vehicular access.
Prosser is located in the lush Yakima Valley and celebrates its rich agricultural heritage with many world-class wineries and vineyards. Our 30+ local wineries are the heart of Washington Wine Country. They welcome and encourage you to taste the results of the distinctive fruit grown in the Yakima Valley, Horse Heaven Hills and Columbia Valley American Viticultural Areas. Sample local fresh fruits, vegetables, condiments and sweets complemented by the perfect wines.
